The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
